No sign of ROME, whch was supposedly dispatched on Sunday...
I was contacted by a buyer ten days ago who complained that he had not had a reply from me about a "sale" (A rare CD I have the only copy on Amazon or ebay). I looked and it was "pending" and so I had not had a notification email. I emailed him straight back and he came back quite quickly stating that this was a gift for a friend in Canada and he was "upset" that I had only UK mailing on the sale. He also asked if I would reduce the cost by £20 to "help him out".
The CD has been on there for two years and I replied that I would let it go for a tenner off so long as he was OK paying for recorded delivery to Canada. He agreed and then went quiet.
I emailed him yesterday and asked if he still wished to purchase and he said that he was having issues paying and that would I cancel the listing and put it on Ebay? I said I could just sell it to him via Paypal and if he put it through as a gift I would get slightly more.
He sent back a snotty email staing "You sound dodgy to me and what happens to me if you are (as he termed it) 'wonky'??"
I replied back and said OK forget paypal I would accept payment through Amazon only and did not want to be bothered relisting on Ebay.
This morning I got an email stating that "I've paid DO NOT send any paper work with this item, It is a gift it is imperative you do this or I will return it"
Again its in pending (so I guess that its in his shopping cart but not paid for?
What to do? Im want to spend a little extra and send it recorded as I KNOW he will try something. Should I just withdraw the listing and lose the sale or risk later dodgy feedback on my account?

If it is pending he has gone through the checkout but Amazon have been unable to process, this may be because the shipping address is invalid e.g. outside the sellers shipping options or it may be because there is a problem with the card. I would instincively decline this sale, especially as he has already mentioned difficulty paying, what's more why could he not purchase the item from you and send it to Canada himself?
I would not sell to him. Sounds like a muppet.
10/12/07....Dancing days are here again...
Problem buyers should be avoided, he sounds like he will be a pain even if you manage to complete the sale. Something is bound to cause him a problem, he seems the type. Cancel the sale would be my advice.
Amazon MP haven't really reflected the price hike in postage for their sellers' shipping costs, have they?
It's still £1.26 for a single DVD/BD (I was charged that today)
So many films, so little time...

Ethan Edwards: What've I got to do, draw you a picture? Spell it out? Don't ever ask me! Long as you live don't ever ask me more!
Zoverstocks.
I purchased the 2000 remaster of The Orchestral Tubular Bells last week. The 1989 CD arrived today.
Also purchased the 2000 remasters of Crises, Five Miles Out and Discovery from them yesterday. Hope they get those right and I don't get the old CD versions. One mistake I can deal with but anything more is a pain in the neck.
Exactly the same thin happened to me when I ordered it from them. They gave me a refund and let me keep the CD
I see sad people
I think therefore I am, at least I think I am therefore , I might not be ...

Radiophonic Workshop Vol 3 - The Leisure Hive. After I dropped it by a tenner someone else bought it - he hasnt contacted me again so I guess he was a time waster.

Does anyone have advice on how to encourage feedback from buyers?
I've sold almost 100 items over the past 12 months, but only had feedback from 12 buyers. It's all been good, and I've kept my 100% record, but it'd be nice to have the percentage based on a larger sample size!
I always email buyers when items are shipped out asking for feedback. Doesn't Amazon also email them a few weeks later to ask for it too?
For some reason Amazon MP buyers seem quite shy of leaving positive feedback![]()
