Just received The Red Planet, complete with a very nice foreword by Andrew Pixley (which was a lovely surprise). Roll on next month and World In Peril.
    Oooh, nasty...

Glad it was a pleasant surprise; pleased you like it and thank you for your kind words. I count myself very, very fortunate in that Dexter was kind enough to offer me the opportunity to write such a piece for my favourite radio serial!

    All the best

    Andrew

Mine turned up on Friday. Had forgotten about it, so it was a nice surprise to come home to after work.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Grandmaster's foreword too. I had a similar introduction to the series and I remember my delight in finding the great article in DWB all those years ago.

Well done Fantom, for getting these books back into print. These hardback editions are wonderful.

I agree, these are excellent volumes. I adore the covers. I could only wish for another (new) novel after the World In Peril in the same style to bring us up to date with more recent stories. (And sort out a bit of continuity for Return From Mars)! Being greedy, I'd love to see the Quatermass novels back in print in the same manner as Fantom have done such a good job.

The "DWB" article was a terrific opportunity, and I really appreciated Gary Leigh letting me dabble in something a tad more obscure (and not even TV related!). It was great fun to be able to do some research on this series which I was enjoying so much and is still one of my great delights to listen to.

Absolutely. Dexter and his team have done a smashing job with these. Such a delight to have them available again.

    All the best

Does anyone know what is causing the delay to the final volume "World in Peril"
Was originally due out in March but checking the website today as no sign of the book so far, it now says coming in April

Also do they match the limited edition numbers of the books you receive. Received the first two together and they had same number so would be nice if this was the same to complete the set.

Yes, they do match the numbers. I had the first two books on publication, so several months apart.
