Hopefully any new extras won't be drowned in Star Trek music, regardless of what the interviewee is saying. The cloying tones of James Horner over every single utterance made an already fluffy set of extras basically unwatchable for me.

Watching Encounter At Farpoint again. It's hard to believe it was 1987, it looks brand new.
I notice the leaflet in the BD case says season 1 coming this summer. Has there been a firm date set yet?
Sainsburys Entertainment list for 23rd July
They have it priced at £50.99 but remember there is a £5 rebate voucher in the TNG sampler disk to claim back by post.
If you do order from Sainsburys they put a pre authorisation against your card so an issue if you run close to your credit limit
Amazon have 23rd of July as well. But it's still not possible to pre-order.
All that way just to pick up a chicken...
I'll wait to see who offers the best deal. I won't be waiting for a price drop on these, I'm too much of a TNG fan and life's too short.
Unfortunately don't expect these to see a dramatic price drop for many years. TOS BDs are still in the £40+ price range as Paramount know there is a big market even at that level. Also in the UK Paramount of all the big studios are most loathe to discount their product.
That's why I said I won't be waiting for a price drop on these.
Snap. That sampler disc has a lot to answer for...
I've been watching the repeats on CBS Action, and they're a bit hard going after seeing the show in HD. I actually gave up on season 1, a previous favourite. Will be waiting for the box sets, and have no regrets about selling the DVDs either.
I watched 11001001 the other night on CBS an it looked AWFUL. I cant wait to see season one in HD and like others above I will get this immediately to support the range and feed my desire for 1701HD

This is going to be a wait for price drop for me because in the end I have the whole series on DVD and although I can sell them on for about £10 each, the first two seasons are very uneven. Also, I want to wait and see the reviews and if there is much footage that will have to be dropped in from standard def because it couldn't be located ala Sins of the Father.
Had a look earlier on on ebay to see how much the silver "breeze block" boxsets are going for on ebay these days and was shocked to see that Season 3 actually went for just over £2 recently, with the average being about a fiver.
Bit of a drop from the £79.99 when they first came out!
