Having just scanned over the DVD Times review, it does seem very positive. However it doesn't state whether Network have given lossless audio: can anyone clarify that?
I had hoped the extras would feature some more of the World Backgrounds archive material, there are quite a few original film sequences that could have been used. I guess all Network could afford were the lava lamp back plates.
Order from the Network site and: "Each order for this set from networkdvd.co.uk will get an exclusive facsimile of the original 1960s sales brochure (to be sent separately)."

If Network had only released the BD version instead of the SD (which I have), it would have persuaded me to buy a BD player just for this!
The trouble is, if I sold my original Network DVD set, I'm likely to only get about 20 quid for it on eBay and I paid £60 for it. But I remember selling my Carlton set for over 40 quid at the time.
Is it an original Network set? With '40th Anniversary' on the cover? Quite collectable apparently; I pulled £59 for mine...

Yes, it's the original 40th Anniversary edition digipack version.
There ya go; mine went on Amazon Marketplace in a flash.

You can get the Tevion from Aldi for under £100 and that does multi-region for Blu-ray and DVD with a simple code via its remote.
See above, don't let price be a bar, you know you'll want to watch the Blu-ray every time you reach for the SD version, waiting would only be postponing your innevitable upgrade to Blu-ray - why wait? Unless it's purely a case of not having the money in which case fair enough, as and when but it's no longer the massive financial strain it was to go Blu
I think you were lucky John as the demand for that has gone (they're not selling on ebay for £30) since it was clear the book was coming out again. The book was the reason for the first version being sought after for a time. Having said that I did manage to sell one to a gentleman of this parish but not for much more than £30. And as it happens I do have another copy here which I'm not going to bother to sell as I only paid £30 in Virgin for it on day of release and it's more than entertained me enough for that price, not really worth the effort to sell it (imho) now there's a Blu-ray nobody will want it.
