Apparently Lucasfilm have confirmed that there will be a TV series set in the Star Wars universe.

    This, from popbitch:

Lucasfilm are about to sign a huuuge deal with either CBS or HBO for a 30 episode series called...

    "The Adventures of Luke Skywalker"

These will use the stories after Return of the Jedi and the best news is Lucas isn't going to direct them - Lawrence Kasdan will direct the pilot. Then Lots of other directors... one of which is Kevin Smith!

    Interesting, if true...

Can we assume this is going to be a live action series rather than another animated one? Seems odd not to mention the other animated series (how many have there been now, 4, 5?) if it were.

It all sounded so good. Then I saw the source.

When it's confirmed on something a little more reliable than popbitch, I'll get excited. Though actually, I'd love to see a Star Wars TV series, it could be really good.
" I can live with doubt, and uncertainty, and not knowing. I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong... I don’t have to know an answer. I don’t feel frightened by not knowing things, by being lost in a mysterious universe without having any purpose, which is the way it really is, as far as I can tell, possibly. It doesn’t frighten me."

As long as its done with glove puppets in front of a rowdy working's men club audience and scripted by Adam and Joe, with music perfomed on a tin whistle.
