    Supermart_USA Amazon MarketPlace

Anyone used them? They have fairly good feedback but a scattering of negatives, mostly people who have had their orders cancelled.

I am guessing that they're a bit like Caiman used to be - that is use a shotgun approach and list just about everything, you're fine if you're ordering something in print or easy to obtain, but if not....

There are the usual posts from thickies who say "my DVD will not play in the UK the advert did not mention this" - but of course the Amazon listining page does state quite clearly Region 1 encoding (requires a North American or multi-region DVD player and NTSC compatible TV in bright red letters at the top! Or "my stuff took longer than expected to arrive" ,,well it's coming from the USA and airmail has been grounded DUH (admittedly, Supermart are unwise to mark their delivery times as 6-11 days because it can be incredibly variable with delays possible at any point. Espescially customs, shudder)

I've ordered plenty from them and no problems at all...Just had a flick through my Amazon history and there's about 10 items, in last 6 months, all received mint and promptly...

Not sure about customs as all my stuff was <£10 each...

Yeah, they're one of my favoured sellers too. Never had anything cancelled.

Used them loads. No problems, but not especially quick like Caiman used to be.

Same here. It sometimes takes a little while, but I always get what I order from them. They are usually my first port of call since the sad demise of caiman.

I think all sellers have to confirm despatch using 'Charge when ship' now?

Yes, I have to do this. You don't get paid until you click the "Confirm Shipment" button which sends an email to the buyer and if you don't do it within 30 days of the order then the order is cancelled automatically.

Does anyone know what is happening with this trader as they don't seem to be selling some of the newer American releases these days? I would have thought for example that they would have had Marcus Welby MD for sale....?

I've used them loads in the past - and this last month (as it was my birthday) I ordered seven or eight US Tokyo Shock DVD releases of classic 1960's Japanese science fiction films (including one that was only released in April), and they've all arrived (within two weeks of ordering). So SupermartUSA still seem to be as reliable as ever.

Ordered two titles from them myself in the last month, and they're still as good as gold.

Maybe they've just had a slight blip in getting hold of a few newer titles recently. At least SupermartUSA aren't advertising titles they don't yet have in stock, unlike some sellers one could mention!

They recently listed a lot of titles considerably cheaper than their rivals-I ordered a bunch and two days later they cancelled them all

They're fine, but they keep on addressing my stuff to Northern Ireland rather than the UK, which is weird because marketplace seller suse the Amazon shipping address...
