I own some bootleg DVDs of this that I've never seen yet. I really must dig them out sometime...

Gerard Glaister also produced Moonstrike in the 60s which was another WWII based series.

I'd love to see the three existing episodes.

    Colditz on DVD

Could this be coming to DVD at last? The BBC Shop seems to think so.

It would be good to see it released and it's a very good Series, but I don't think it's in the same league as Secret Army personally.

It was actually picking up the Secret Army set cheaply a few weeks ago that got me thinking of Colditz again.

Having recently listened to the excellent audio books (an enormous number of cassette tapes, bargain at £2 from the library clearance sales!) from Colditz the Whole Story, or some such, I was wondering if it was time to buy the DVD's - I assumed they had long been released.

Excellent news if true! Bit unfair comparing it to Secret Army really, as Colditz is a very different type of series. Most of the episodes revolve around an 'escape of the week' plot, but are still worth seeing.

Wasn't this a BBC/Universal co-production? If so, perhaps the same agreement that has permitted the Paul McGann Doctor Who movie to be released in R1 has cleared the hurdles to this appearing as well.

Well, the release in November certainly looks to be pukka. A number of the regular online retailers have it up for pre-order.

It must be said, this will be one of THE releases of the year - not just because it's a cracking series, but owing to it being off everyone's radar with the well documented rights problems.

I'm speechless, as this really has come out of the blue! Stunning news!!!
