DVD NEWS

Among the new or augmented titles in the Incoming database this week are the first season of Doctor Who spin-off The Sarah Jane Adventures; Solstice, a horror film co-written and directed by one of the writer / directors of The Blair Witch Project; the second series of cult comedy Fonejacker (there will also be a Series 1 & 2 box set); and four editions of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - a steelbook DVD exclusive to HMV, the regular two-disc DVD edition, and the Blu-ray version.

Full details for the BFI's re-release of controversial art-house classic SalÚ, or The 120 Days of Sodom have been released. The film is being released on DVD and - a first for the BFI - on Blu-ray.

There's new info, too, for: ER - Season 12; a long-overdue release of British comedy The Sandwich Man, with a commentary track and new transfer, from Network; and, finally, some tangible details of a two-volume set of highlights from Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones various BBC series, At Last: Smith & Jones.

Authors Mark Morris and Simon Messingham will be signing copies of their Doctor Who novels Ghosts of India and The Doctor Trap at Forbidden Planet's Shaftesbury Avenue, London Megastore on Saturday the 6th of September, between 3 and 4pm.
