24th July 2008
The Torchwood Yearbook cover I used
for Titan's announcement earlier this week (below) wasn't the finished
version, and it has now been updated accordingly. The differences are
subtle... nothing worth getting excited about! (Amazon still has the old
version, if you want to compare them!)
21st July 2008
Recent additions to the
include the Gerry Anderson movie
Journey To The Far Side of the Sun (aka Doppelganger); Neil
Doomsday; the second series of
Inspector Lynley Murders; the first season of
Doctor on the Go, from Network; Michael Haneke's Americanised
remake of Funny Games on
(no longer coming from Tartan - now from a company called Halycon);
Mike Leigh's acclaimed
Happy-Go-Lucky; and the gangster thriller Brooklyn Rules.
The Terminator: The Sarah Connor
Chronicles set has been re-scheduled for release on August the 11th
(it was due on August the 28th). Details of the
Blu-ray versions have been added to the database.
Books have announced details of their Torchwood Yearbook...
Torchwood is the action-packed,
adrenaline-fuelled sci-fi series from the BBC, following the adventures of
a team of investigators, working for the secret organisation Torchwood,
who use scavenged alien technology in a struggle to contain the mysterious
and deadly challenges thrown at them through a space/time continuum Rift.
The team, led by the enigmatic, ever-watchful Captain Jack Harkness (John
Barrowman, reprising his Doctor Who role in this spin-off from the
legendary series), is separate from the government, outside the police and
beyond the United Nations.
